Arbeitsgemeinschaft Gruppenanalyse
mit Kindern und Jugendlichen e.V.

1. Internationaler Workshop für Kinder- u. Jugendlichengruppenanalyse

10.-11. September 2021 in Berlin

Dear Sir or Madam,
We  cordially invite you to a European workshop on group analysis with children and adolescents in Berlin on the10th and 11th of September 2021.
For the past 15 years a team of group analysts working with children and adolescents has been exploring this field, organizing annual workshops on the topic, and encouraging group analysts to present their work with groups of children and adolescents. The workshops took place in different
cities in German - speaking Europe. You can find the program of the recent14th workshop, which took place near Stuttgart, attached.
Based on the experience gained, a curriculum for the training ofprofessionals working with or treating children and adolescents in group settings was developed, which will be translated into English within the next 2 years. Moreover, about two and a half years ago an association called “Arbeitsgemeinschaft Gruppenanalyse mit Kindern und Jugendlichen (GaKiJu)“ was founded and has since welcomed a rapidly growing number of professionals as its members (
It may also be of interest to you that at the 17th International Symposium of the Group Analytic Society International (GASI), Berlin 2017, the scientific committee (co-chair Mrs. Katrin Stumptner) organized a four‑day sub-plenary about group analysis with children and adolescents.
Colleagues from at least seven countries presented the importance of applying group analysis to children and adolescents in a variety of settings.
Thus, at its last convention the association GaKiJu decided that it is timely to hold a European workshop on group analysis with children and adolescents. The workshop will take place in Berlin on the 10th and 11th of September 2021, and we would be delighted to welcome you or representatives of your association. With your permission, we will keep you updated regarding further details.

Yours respectfully, the Organizing Team

Katrin Stumptner, Matthias Wenck, Robert Mayerle and Furi Khabirpour
